Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)
Our PHP provides 5-6 hours of structured treatment per day, 5 days per week, for 2-4 weeks. This level of care is ideal for patients stepping down from residential treatment or those who need intensive support but can return home in the evenings. Patients participate in individual therapy, group sessions, psychiatric care, and holistic programming at our Bakersfield center.
Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
The IOP at HOPE Behavioral Health meets 3-4 times per week for approximately 3 hours per session, spanning 8-12 weeks. This program is designed for individuals who need continued therapeutic support while managing work, school, or family obligations. Sessions include group therapy, individual counseling, relapse prevention education, and life skills development.

Dual Diagnosis Treatment
HOPE Behavioral Health's dual diagnosis program treats co-occurring mental health conditions and substance use disorders simultaneously at our Bakersfield treatment center. Research shows that treating both conditions together produces significantly better outcomes than addressing them separately.
Many individuals struggling with addiction also experience mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, or bipolar disorder. Our integrated approach ensures that both conditions are addressed by a coordinated clinical team including psychiatrists, therapists, and addiction counselors working together at our facility.
